About Dorchester Ballet and Dance Club

The Dorchester Ballet & Dance Club, which was founded in 1958, provides classes in a wide range of dance disciplines for the purposes of enjoyment, healthy activity or as an opening to a dance vocation. Its aim is to "make dance available to all, regardless of age, wealth or ability" and to listen to the changing needs of the local community. It offers consistently excellent teaching and encouragement to all club members of any age, gender, ability or ethnic group in a safe and friendly environment. By the application of discount schemes, concessions and the use of committed volunteers it strives to make dance affordable to families and those on reduced incomes.
