Mary Frances Trust

Mary Frances Trust (MFT) is a mental health and emotional wellbeing charity in Surrey. Created in 1994, we offer a variety of face-to-face and online services to adults (16+) who would like to restore and/or maintain their mental and emotional wellbeing. For our Community Connections service no clinical diagnosis is needed, clients can self-refer and our services are free of charge. We run these services in Banstead, Elmbridge, Epsom & Ewell and Mole Valley, and they include individual support & goal setting; wellbeing courses, activity and exercise groups; peer support; young-people groups; practical advice and information (support with benefits, debt, housing etc) & we also offer a variety of volunteering opportunities. Our services also include: • GPimhs (GP Integrated Mental Health Service – specialist support for patients at specific surgeries) • Safe Haven in Epsom (offering daily crisis support 6-11pm, virtually too) • Service User Network (SUN) a community-based peer support with lifetime membership for complex emotions, often associated with personality disorder. • Recovery Connect (helping mental health patients transition from the hospital ward back to their community) • In-Reach (supporting clients to rely less on crisis services and use other community-based support). • SMI (Serious Mental Illness) Physical Health Checks. • Financial and Wellbeing Support Service – in partnership with Citizens Advice Epsom & Ewell – support clients suffering with both poor mental health and extreme difficulties with their financial situation. All of our services are designed through co-production via our Advisory Group, which is made up of adults with lived-experience.
