About Abolition UK

Abolition U.K is a grassroots organisation formed in 2008. We are the only nationwide grassroots organization focused solely on the issue of death penalty abolition. We oppose the death penalty on the grounds that it is racist, arbitrary, costly and unfairly applied. Innocent people have been sentenced to death and there is no doubt that many innocent people have been executed.It is a punishment reserved for the poor, for people of colour and those who are mentally ill. It has been given to the innocent and to our children. We are committed to educating the public about the injustices of the death penalty worldwide. We have no offices or paid staff. Donations are used for the cost of campaign materials, to fund murder victims family support services and contribute to defence funds for those death row with strong claims of innocence who cannot afford to prove their innocence.Please help us end the death penalty!
