About Academy FM Folkestone

Academy FM Folkestone is an educational charity that runs the FM Community Radio station for Folkestone. Firstly, we work with young people from the Folkestone All-Age Academy and train them to broadcast - this teaches self-confidence and communication skills. Secondly, we run educational projects with Primary age children from all over Folkestone, in employability, literacy, history and science. Finally, we run the area's only radio station, promoting community events and training local people.
