About Operation Wallacea Mexico 2015 - Aimee Moretti

I will be helping the researchers of Operation Wallacea in the forest of Calakamul and the reefs of Akumal in Mexico to gather data and apply for funding to protect these rich and important areas of land from deforestation and hunting. I need your help to fulfill my dream of travelling to Mexico to help save the forests and reefs! I'm planning to join Operation Wallacea's research project in the summer of 2015 to help measure crucial data in order to preserve the Calakamul forest's biodiversity and ensure that the water waste from Akumal's growing population won't harm the reefs and aquatic species living in the area. In order to get there I need to raise at least £2400 to cover the project and travel costs. To raise these funds, I will be doing various activities and events throughout the coming year to help reach this goal. Any donation, however small, will be greatly appreciated!
