About Carluke Primrose Orchestral Flutes

We are an enthusiastic group of around 30 flautists and percussionists, with members coming from Carluke and surrounding areas. With children from age 11 to adults, in their 60s, we get together to make and perform music before taking it to concerts and competitions across the country. In order to achieve the most orchestral sound, we play a near full range of flutes, the highest being piccolo and the lowest the 7 and a half foot tall suncontrabass in G - a full 3 and a half octaves below.
