I am undertaking a PhD at the University of Birmingham which aims to characterise acute changes in muscle mass and function in older adults following hospitalisation. I will be conducting clinical research which will assist to target interventions to prevent declines in muscle mass and function, and overall promote independence and wellbeing of older adults.
