About Chris and Mikw - Ultramarathon for Alkrington Primary School, Cancer Research UK and Abigails Footsteps

My brother-in-law, Mike Connor, and I are taking part in an iconic ultramarathon, travelling 70 miles from Carlisle to Newcastle following the route of Hadrians Wall. (It was Mike’s idea!!!) Alongside the challenge, and probably pain, we want to try and raise funds for good causes! We have decided to support Alkrington Primary School, where generations of our family have started their edicational journey, with their charity fundraising for this year. Cancer Research UK has been chosen as the charity to support as a staff member is currently undergoing treatment for cancer and Abigail’s Footsteps, as a baby brother of one of our pupils died earlier this year.We hope to be able to support them in meeting their targets and support these excellent causes.
