About Clacton And District Local History Society

The Society is going to celebrate its 40th year in October. We have some heavy expenses this year. Initially we are having to move out from clacton library for the rebuild and all our exhibits/archives will need to be catalogued and boxed up for the duration. The cost of archive boxes, bubble wrap and perhaps some more glass display cases may be needed- to create access to the exhibits when they are decanted elsewhere. We would like to produce a 40th Year for of The Clacton Chronicle - a magazine we have produced in the past which was always well received. And finally we may have to find a permenant home for the museum so we can build on this 40 year legacy.
