About Delves Lane Community Association

We are a small community centre based in a village hall in N.W.Durham.We provide affordable activities and educational courses to the community.We began a regeneration programme in 1997 since which time we have raised £990,000 to refurbish village hall as well as to provide an outdoor play area/multi-purpose sports pitch for the younger people in our village.The village hall is now well used by many people,all age groups,we continually fundraise to pay for our running costs.As an ex miners welfare hall we receive no financial input from the local authority therefore the community of Delves Lane work together to raise the money to keep the premises in a good state of repair as well to pay the bills.
