About Developing Health and Independence

Drugs and Homeless Initiative is a charity that was set up in 1999 to help those in need out of the cycle of homelessness and drug/alcohol abuse. Its aim is to assist people to address their addictions and gain control of their lives again. DHI provides a comprehensive range of practical and emotional support services, with particular regard for those who are socially excluded as a result of poor housing, lack of employable skills or other means. Each service is tailored to match the individualâ€™s needs. DHI deals not only with the health and emotional well being of their clients, but also with real practical issues such as housing, social isolation, social exclusion, lack of basic education and employable skills.
