About AMentalCycle 2016 for MIND - Emma Brett

I am not thin, I am in the last six months of my twenties, I am the heaviest I have ever been, I am going through a divorce, I’ve been diagnosed with depression and frankly I feel like crap most of the time. So I can enter my thirties, divorced, overweight, depressed and unfulfilled or I can change that now. In reality, I have a career that I enjoy and I am good at and most of all I am loved. So much so, that my loved ones are going to help me on my mission to good mental health. How is that I hear you ask… Well after completing the Cambridge to Norwich in 2014, I felt the cycling bug. So here’s the plan, we are going to cycle from Paris to Norwich. To help me combat my weight, give me something to look forward to, to strive for and most of all to raise money for Mind and particularly those suffering without the love and support I am so lucky to receive. So Amber, Tony and I shall cycle from Paris to Norwich in September with James as our travelling Chef and roadie… dig deep and support this taboo subject. Depression has such a stigma attached to it but it affects so many of us, if not in person but our loved ones. I shall be asking for support over the next few months, I know times are hard and we are asked so often for our hard earned cash but every penny counts and your sacrifice however small could mean to world to someone who at their darkest moments has nowhere to turn.

"There's quite a few sites similar to easyfundraising. But where this site stands out is it's helpful & quick replies to queries. It is so easy to set up an account & to start saving for a good cause - I've recommended easyfundraising to a lot of my friends, and they're as impressed as I am with the ease of how it works."

David - easyfundraising user

"I run a not for profit Community Interest Company and shared our cause. Very easy to use, templates ready to share on social media, with direct links to our page and pop up reminders installed for when I was shopping with numerous websites, where I could gain the free donation. Excellent service and a fabulous idea."
