About Camps International Kenya 2013 - Freya Townsend

I will be going to Kenya in July 2013 for a month. I will live as part of a community working on important social and cultural projects to improve the lives of local people. I will have the opportunity to work on important projects to improve the standard of living for rural communities, participate in ongoing conservation initiatives to protect valuable wildlife and the environment, Learn about elephant conservation, have the opportunity to go on a safari in one of Kenyaâ€™s Premier National Parks and trek to the summit of Mount Kenya. This trip will give me the opportunity to help others and at the same time give him a unique experience that could not be recreated in the classroom; I can also gain a CoPE Level 3 qualification which will give me 70 UCAS points (equivalent to an A at AS-level).
