About Glastonbury Carnival

Glastonbury carnival is organised by a small committee of volunteers. The carnival aims are to raise funds to be distributed to local and occasional national causes, whilst supporting the carnival clubs who participate in the carnival. The carnivals in Glastonbury have now been going for 158 years, which first originated by rolling tar barrels down the high street and a horse and cart procession. We need to also raise money to maintain our Carnival Park which is home to 6 local carnival clubs.
