About Greater London South East Scouts Explorer Belt Expedition Canada 2014

Fun and Adventure is at the absolute heart of what we do. It is the thing that sets scouting apart from other voluntary organisations. Scouting enables everyday young people to excel in everyday life, and to adventure into the great outdoors to experience new and thrilling challenges. These challenges encourage the young people to set and achieve goals in order to grow in confidence. In the summer of 2014, Greater London South East Scouts are embarking on an adventure of a lifetime. A group of 25 young people and their leaders will be trekking across Canada in order to achieve their explorer belt award. The Explorer Belt Award is one of the highest achievements in scouting and is a chance to take part in an expedition that brings a real understanding of a different country, its people and way of life.
