HealthWatch, a UK registered charity established in 1991, promotes evidence in medical treatments, whether â€œorthodoxâ€ or â€œalternativeâ€. It stands for consumer protection in health care, both by fair testing of therapies and better regulation of all practitioners; and better understanding by the public and the media that valid clinical trials are the best way of ensuring protection (n.b. HealthWatch has no connection with the recent UK govt initiative "Healthwatch England").
