About Holly Hedge Animal Sanctuary

Holly Hedge Animal Sanctuary opened its gates to abandoned and unwanted animals in March 1992, although its founder, Pauline Leeson, has devoted her whole life to animal welfare. Pauline worked from her own home with the support of foster carers - her aim has always been to provide a safe haven, for mostly cats and dogs, until caring, permanent owners can be found. This continues to be the purpose of the charity today, and we now rescue and rehome more than 800 animals a year.
