About Hurstmere in Zambia

Our Trip involves Hurstmere School and Tag Rugby Development Trust (TRDT) charity. The purpose of our trip is to change the lives of under privileged youths through tag rugby. Along with the coaching of tag rugby our program has been involved in a variety of community projects to assist the developing the local area. These projects include helping build and organise a library, painting schools and assisting in the teaching of young children in the classroom. Since 2009 the program has sent out 65 students to Zambia split between 3 tours. This is a very ambitious project which requires the students to raise a lot of money towards the cost of the trip, learning how to teach and coach young children before they go, whilst completing their normal school work.
