Camps International Costa Rica and Nicaragua 2018 - Lauren Todd

My name is Lauren and I am participating in an expedition to Costa Rica and Nicaragua in 2018 with Camps International. This will be a 4 week expedition and will include community development work, environmental projects and wildlife conservation. The core objectives of this expedition are to undertake projects in order to: Raise the educational standards of developing communities within a rural district of Nicaragua Raise the living standards of developing communities within a rural district of Nicaragua. Assist with ongoing wildlife conservation programmes to preserve biodiversity and protect vulnerable habitats in Costa Rica. This expedition is extremely important to me because as well as helping the local people and environment, I am also really looking forwards to experiencing life in a very different environment, interacting and learning with people from different cultures and hopefully helping to build friendship and understanding between our countries.
