About Operation Wallacea Indonesia 2016 - Matthew Tosdevin

Operation Wallacea is a network of scientists collecting data for conservation research, and they rely solely on the assistance of students. The work is published in a large number of peer-reviewed journals every year, has led to the discovery of 30 new vertebrates, rediscovery of 4 'extinct' species and levered millions of pounds into best conservation practice in sites around the world. I am going to Indonesia for four weeks as a research assistant. Two of those will be land based, helping with biodiversity monitoring, while the other two will be marine based assisting with reef surveys.
