The state of famine was declared by the UN on 20th. July in some parts of Somalia as reported in Metro of Thursday 21st. July and over reported several time over BBC news. The humanitarian situation has escalated due to civil war which has been going on for many years. There has been severe shortage of food for the past 20 years due to drought, hitting more than 10 million people in Somalia, Ethiopia and Kenya. Several Somalis have been force to flee to neighbouring countries (Kenya and Ethiopia) and leaving in Displaced Camps. There has been high increase in the number of displaced people from Somalia to the displaced camp in Northern Kenya. The people leaving in this camp face several problems such as lack of clean drinking water, food, disease, shelter and other basic needs of life.
