Camps International Ecuador 2013 - Montana Morgan

I'm going to Ecuador and the Galapagos island in summer 2013 with my school, Southfield School for Girls in Northamptonshire. I need to raise £4300 to go on this 4 week trip next summer. I will be working on important projects to improve the standard of living in the rural communities. I will also be participating in conservation initiatives, which protect the rare species of wildlife and the environment of Ecuador and the Galapagos Islands. We will also be working on marine conservation projects, whilst on this trip. The core projects focus on improving community facilities, refurbishing the local school and creating employment opportunities for the local people. Project work may include low level construction work, refurbishing school and community buildings, teaching conversational English, working with the women’s group to make and sell goods, supporting organic coffee and cacao (chocolate) farming and playing sports with the local children. I will also get the chance to explore, the fascinating capital of Quito and the Galapagos islands.
