About Myotonic Dystrophy Support Group

Myotonic Dystrophy is the most common and most variable muscular dystrophy in adult life. Some patients have disabling neuromuscular symptoms, especially weakness and to a lesser extent stiffness (myotonia); others have minimal muscle symptoms. Onset at any age from birth to late adult. At present, there is no cure for Myotonic Dystrophy but progress is being made in the understanding of how this disorder is caused.
