About North Harbour Community First Responders

North Harbour Community Responders are a team of 16 volunteers who are trained and dispatched by the ambulance service to serious medical emergencies where life is at risk.These are normally within 6-8 minutes of our location We provide basic life support care until the arrival of the ambulance. We carry oxygen and a defibrillator as well as other medical equipment and pain relief. We can be with a patient very quickly â€“ providing emergency care in the critical time before the ambulance arrives.
