About One Step at a Time

One Step at a Time works in Northern Uganda with children and families who have lived with war and poverty for 20 years. We work with orphans, street children and families in poverty to give them hope and opportunities for education and sustainable living. The work is managed in Uganda by local staff and supported from UK through individual sponsorships for children, young people and families. In our first year we have 36 children in full time education or training and have reunited many children with their families, some of whom believed their child to have died.
