About Operation Wallacea - Croatia 2024 - Grace Black

Operation Wallacea is a reconised charity providing information on wildlife from all over the world, the data collected will go to Scientific publications, monitoring each ecosystem, strategising conservation methods tailored to each area and even providing statistics to the World Bank. We are raising money to fund my trip to support Operation Wallacea with the conservation and surveying of endemic and protected species. Including those in Krka national park, the park provides a wide range of habitats from the river valley, forests and caves, it supports the life of many species and it's important to monitor the organisms to understand how they interact and live, in order to support their growth and conserve each species. The coasts of Croatia are home to some of the richest reefs in Europe and it's important to continuously monitor these areas to analyse changes brough by increased tourism.
