About Play Action International-Lauren Bowman-Wood

In June 2025 I will be travelling to Uganda for 4 weeks with an awesome and dedicated team of volunteers for the summer! We will be transforming an empty field at a local school into a vibrant playground so that children can access a childhood! This is a great opportunity for me as a first year student at Leeds Beckett University, but I need your help! I will have the opportunity of facilitating and stimulating play, engaging with parents and gaining valuable experience, oh and teaching them a bit of Yorkshire! I will be completing a skydive in April/May weather depending, and completing different tasks to raise as much money as possible. This money will go directly to helping the charity and funding key parts of the development I will be covering my own expenses.
