About Rackenford Community Shop

Rackenford is 8 miles from the nearest shopping town, and there is no public transport. Old people who don't drive, children too young to drive and anyone without a car depend on it, it's the social centre for everyone and nobody wants to go 8 miles for a newspaper or some milk. Any profits go to community needs. All the staff are volunteers, but it's increasingly hard to reach break even. Online shopping is the main reason for this.
