About Rights in Russia

Rights in Russia is a UK-based charity established on 19 January 2010 to mark the tragic murder of human rights lawyer Stanislav Markelov and journalist Anastasia Baburova who were shot dead in Moscow on that day in 2009. Our mission is to provide news and views about human rights in Russia, much of it in translation from the Russian, and to support the work of human rights organizations based in Russia.
