Africa Expedition July 2012 - Sarah Brown

Have you ever tickled a cheetah behind the ears? Have you ever stood face to face with White Rhino? Well next year I will be participating in the UK-Africa 2012 contingent, during July 2012 we will be Africa bound for a five week expedition where we will be spending every night under canvas. Starting in Northern Botswana, on the edge of the Okavango Delta, and working closely with local scouts we aim to create a campsite and training centre, this will enable Scouts in Botswana to educate visitors in the importance of conserving wildlife. After Three weeks the team will transfer to the Mokolodi Game Reserve, just outside Garborone, where the main focus will be constructing a managers bungalow, and possibly erecting an observation tower. As we will be staying on the Game Reserve we may also have the opportunity to accompany the Park Rangers as they perform their daily duties. The cost of the trip is £3000 so fundraising is essential.
