About The Salvation Army - South Shields

The Salvation Army has been present in South Shields for over 130 years and continues to express its Christian faith in service to the community. In addition to our worship services each Sunday at 10-30 a.m. and 6 p.m., we have a number of community related activities. Monday and Thursday mornings we have a Parent and Toddler group, Monday afternoon a Womenâ€™s fellowship meeting, Tuesday evening a kidâ€™s club for children 7 to teenage.Tuesday mornings we hold a drop-in for the homeless and needy providing tea, coffee and toast from 10 a.m. and a two course meal at midday. We are often asked for food parcels but our limited resources make this difficult. By donating through this website you can help us continue our activities more effectively in South Shields.
