Have you ever met a wild dolphin eye to eye?In Costa Rica time is running out for the gentle Spinner dolphins only found in these waters. They are a subspecies and their population is on a decline. They have become just another statistic. Thousands continue to be caught in the nets of the tuna industry along with whales, turtles, sharks and many other marine animals. Extinction is forever.Their suffering is out of sight and out of mind.During our campaign we will put our boat out at sea to act as a Dolphin Guardian. Our primary mission: to gather evidence of illegal fishing activity and protect the pod, saving their lives through direct action. At the same time gathering data and research, to ultimately raise their status to endangered. At the moment they are classified as ’’Data Deficient’’ on the IUCN Red List Category.Every day that this campaign runs, will save dolphin's lives.How?
