Stone In Oxney is a very small village in Kent with few local services. The stone that gives the village its name is preserved in the church, and is Roman in origin. The church of St Mary is an elegant Grade 1 listed building and stands in an imposing position on the eastern side of the Isle of Oxney. Magnificent views over the surrounding countryside may be seen from the top of the tower. Two major projects at the moment are repairs to the west window and installation of a toilet and kitchen.
