About Stockton Amateur Swimming Club

We are a voluntary run amateur swimming club that provides an opportunity for swimmers aged from 5 to 105 to swim in a safe, fun and pleasant environment. Stockton Amateur Swimming Club has been around since1876. We take in children, who can swim a length with a reasonable stroke, from the age of 5 (or later for those late developers). If they develop well and are technically strong, they may progress through to the Borough of Stockton Swimming Scheme (BOSSS). We strongly believe in the Amateur Swimming Association\'s (ASA) Long Term Athlete Development process. Through this, we and the Borough of Stocton Swim Sceme (BOSSS) can look after our swimmers best interests over their entire swimming career which will hopefully be many years. If the swimmer does not want to \'progress\' to competitive swimming then there is always a place for them in our sessions.
