About Tilsworth & Stanbridge Women's Institute

Tilsworth & Stanbridge WI was formed in 1918 as part of a movement to revitalise rural communities and to help produce and preserve food during the First World War. The modern WI provides a place for women to educate themselves, develop skills, take part in activities and, perhaps most importantly, find friendship. We hold monthly meetings as well as organising regular outings for members, family and friends.
