A voluntary organisation that was set up in 2006, Unity in the Community promotes equality and diversity throughout its shops and spaces. Providing; information, support and practical assistance for asylum seekers, refugees and homeless people in and around the Glasgow area. To provide emergency assistance, clothing and shelter for those in need. Empowering people and encouraging volunteerism. Providing safe spaces for volunteers, respecting; cultural differences, sexual orientation, religion and beliefs, race, disability, gender reassignment, age, ethnicity and health. As well as enrichment, understanding, inclusion and integration, UitC promotes cultural diversity within the organisation and the wider community, respecting human rights and the dignity of the individual. We believe there should be impartial strategies in place, which welcome all asylum seekers and refugees to Scotland. Unity in the Community values everyone as an individual, a place where disparity is never a barrier.

How it works
easyfundraising partners with over 8,000 brands who will donate part of what you spend to a cause of your choice. It won't cost you any extra. The cost is covered by the brand.
Brands pay us a commission because when you start your shop from the easyfundraising website or app, they can see we sent you to them. If you make a purchase, a commission is generated, and we turn that into a donation - magic!
