Ur Gateway CIC

Ur Gateway aims to inspire change to social exclusion by helping to combat social isolation and to provide opportunities for young people to develop employability skills. We currently provide free weekly meet-up sessions for Over 50’s , where we serve refreshments and provide support. These sessions are supported by volunteers which includes young people developing their employability skills. Our weekly sessions consists of a range of activities aimed at learning new skills, and forming friendships. Members attending donates refreshments which is shared amongst the attendees. We have seen how members have thrived since attending our sessions and they really look forward to the weekly meet-ups. Members often share, the alternative would be sitting at home alone with no one to talk to. Any donation we receive would go towards being able to continue offering free weekly sessions, organise a night out and to pay for materials and a facilitator to deliver Arts and Crafts sessions., and Digital Skills Training, so our attendees can learn how to stay safe online.
