About SURT (Stopping Unsafe Relationships Together)

SURT has been set up as a new initiative in response to the reported increase of abuse within relationships during COVID 19. Our social purpose and vision is to prevent and stop abuse within relationships. We will focus upon the needs of children living in South Tyneside aged 11-17 and those transitioning into adulthood who are experiencing or have been affected by intimate partner abuse, child sexual exploitation, criminal exploitation, honour based abuse and stalking and harassment.
