The aims of the William McFadzean VC Commemoration Society: To raise funds for a sculpture of William McFadzean VC, to be erected in the town of Lurgan, County Armagh. To organise a programme of events to commemorate the heroic actions of William McFadzean VC. William Frederick "Billy" McFadzean VC 9 October 1895 â€“ 1 July 1916 was born in Lurgan, County Armagh. He was a recipient of the Victoria Cross, the highest and most prestigious award for gallantry in the face of the enemy.
