Pink Elephant was created in 1992 to give the long stay car park at Heathrow a name. Owned by Meteor Parking, Pink Elephant has become the Uk's most famous airport parking brand due to its highly memorable name and the high quality service provided by Meteor Parking Limited.

The service extended to Stansted airport a couple of years later and for many years Meteor continued to provide long stay parking through Pink Elephant at Heathrow, Southampton and Stansted airports.
