About Wynsors
In the sixties, Wynsors were trading successfully as the Shoe Bargain Centre. They purchased two busy high street chains, Sefton's and Lees of Leeds. At the time all of these were rebranded as Medina taking the total number of stores to around 26. A new trend for out of town shopping emerged and Wynsors quickly opened stores in Cleckheaton, Thurcroft and Bradford, the first stores to be branded Wynsors! Wynsors continue to utilise larger stores to this day in order to display the huge range for all the family. This turned out to be a huge success with customers queuing around the block to get hold of the latest branded bargains! As a result, Wynsors added a UniSport department into every store! Wynsors continue to open stores every year the latest being in Bury near Manchester.
